In the UK, a 285-year-old lemon, found in an old pantry, was auctioned for £1780 (Pakistani Rupees 492,897).

Belonging to the Brittlez family from Shropshire, Britain, it was claimed that a cabinet from the 19th century found in their auction house belonged to their ancestral uncle.

When a photographer was capturing images for the sale of the cabinet, a lemon emerged from one of the drawers on its back.

Upon the discovery of the lemon, a message was inscribed on it, indicating that the lemon was given to Miss E. Bexster by P. Le Frinchini on November 4, 1739.

The auction house attempted to sell the ancient lemon, and the bid of £1780 left the organizers astonished.

On the other hand, the cabinet was sold for a mere £40.
